Meet the team
Kevin Booker
Kevin qualified as an accountant in 1985, having trained at a small firm in Walsall. He set up business by himself before forming a partnership and later Booker Cole Limited with Anne Cole, so has personal experience of the problems a small business has to face. With over 40 years in the accountancy profession he has seen many of his clients grow from start-ups into very successful businesses.
Away from work Kevin enjoys listening to his ever growing music collection and still “enjoys” supporting Walsall F. C. in their annual fight against promotion!
Not a lot of people know this:
As a child, Kevin’s ambitions were to be the 5th Beatle and to score the winning goal for Walsall in the European Cup Final. Despite having no obvious musical or sporting talent, he still lives in hope!
Anne Cole
Anne spent the first 10 years of her working life in industry before moving into the profession. She qualified as an accountant in 1992 while working at a small firm in Walsall, which is where she met both Kevin and Denise. Sometime later Anne joined Kevin who had started working for himself and eventually Booker Cole Limited was created.
Having spent x amount of years in accountancy (after all a lady never discloses her age) she has a great deal of experience in dealing with businesses of all shapes and sizes. She is a firm believer in plain speaking without the need for jargon.
Not a lot of people know this:
Anne holds a motorcycle driving licence, having past her test quite a few years ago. Although she now prefers the comfort of a car.
Denise Bevan
Denise has worked in the accountancy profession since leaving school. She firstly trained at a small firm in Walsall, where she met both Kevin and Anne, before joining them at Booker Cole Limited. During her time at Booker Cole Limited she has completed her studies and qualified as an accountant in 2007.
Not a lot of people know this:
Although accountants are notoriously known as being boring. Denise undertook a parachute jump from 10,000 feet a few years ago, with two other colleagues from Booker Cole Limited, in aid of Breast Cancer research. She even became famous after their photo made it into the Walsall Observer.
James Killian
James joined Booker Cole Limited in 2009 and quickly established himself as our I.T. guru. He deals with a varied portfolio of clients on a regular basis and is studying for the A.C.C.A. qualification. James is a Liverpool F.C. supporter and keen darts player.
Not a lot of people know this:
James insists that he only plays darts on a regular basis to sharpen his mental arithmetic skills and it has nothing whatsoever to do with alcohol intake.
Phillip Baugh
Phillip joined Booker Cole Limited in 2011 and has regularly been passing A.C.C.A. examinations since. Phill is a keen golfer and Aston Villa supporter who also believes he is a good comedian: a view not shared by the rest of the staff.
Not a lot of people know this:
When he goes to the golf course Phill always takes two pairs of socks – just in case he gets a hole in one! (Don’t give up the day job Phill!!!)
Rhiannon Ferguson
Rhiannon joined Booker Cole Limited in 2011 as our friendly receptionist. Since then her role has expanded into that of accounts and wages clerk. She is currently studying for the Association of Accounting Technicians exams and apparently is a pleasure to teach! In her spare time she exercises at “bootcamp” and then complains about her bruises and aching joints, even though she is only in her early 20’s.
Not a lot of people know this:
As an amateur baker, Rhiannon hoped to win the Great British Bake Off but apparently at the auditions Mary Berry thought she would be too good for the show.
